DR. RUSSELL F. BRINER MEMORIAL ENDOWED ACCOUNTING SCHOLARSHIP *
Award: Number and amount of awards vary

  • Must be declared undergraduate accounting major or graduate enrolled in the Master of Accountancy degree program with a minimum of 9 semester credit hours of accounting courses completed
  • Must be enrolled full time (minimum 12 credit hours as an undergraduate or at least 9 credit hours as a graduate
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, including a 3.0 GPA in College of Business courses
    • Application requirement: College of Business Application, available in November each year
    • Deadline: February each year

E. LOU CURRY ENDOWED TAXATION SCHOLARSHIP *
Award: One award of $1,500 a year

  • Must be declared undergraduate accounting major with at least 60 credit hours completed or be enrolled in the Master of Accountancy program
  • Must be enrolled full time (minimum 12 credit hours as an undergraduate or at least 9 credit hours as a graduate)
  • Must have a 3.0 GPA in College of Business coursework, and a minimum of 9 credit hours in accounting major courses
  • Preference will be given to applicants who express a desire to pursue a career in taxation as their future profession
    • Application requirement: College of Business Application, available in November each year
    • Deadline: February 15 each year

ERNEST & YOUNG ACCOUNTING SCHOLARSHIP
Award: Five awards. $500 per fall and spring semester for recipients in their 4th year of study (first year of the Master of Accountancy program); $1500 per fall and spring semester for recipients who renew the scholarship during the 5th year of study (final year in Master of Accountancy program

  • Must be enrolled in the Master of Accountancy program
  • Must apply during the third (junior) year of undergraduate studies
  • Must have and maintain a 3.4 minimum cumulative GPA throughout the award period, with no grade below "B" in accounting courses
  • Must be enrolled full-time (minimum of 9 credit hours as a graduate)
  • Preference will be given to students from populations that are demonstrably underrepresented in the accounting profession
  • Preference will be given to students who apply fro an Ernest & Young internship through the UTSA job bank
    • Application requirement: College of Business Application, available in November each year
    • Deadline: February 15 each year

JACK TERRELL MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP
Award: One award of $1,500 a year

  • Must be a declared undergraduate or graduate major in accounting or taxation
  • Must be enrolled full time (minimum of 12 credit hours as an undergraduate or at least 9 or more semester credit hours as a graduate
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Must have completed a minimum of 9 semester credit hours in accounting major courses
    • Application requirement: College of Business Application available in November each year
    • Deadline: February 15 each year

JANE BONHAM ENDOWED MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Award: One award of $1,500 a year

  • Must be declared undergraduate accounting major or be enrolled in the Master of Accountancy program
  • Must be enrolled full time (minimum 12 credit hours as an undergraduate or 9 credit hours as a graduate)
  • Must have a 3.0 GPA in College of Business coursework, and a minimum of 9 credit hours in accounting major courses

KATHLEEN R. KEIL ENDOWED MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

LYNN WHIPPLE ANGROVE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Award: Number of awards and amounts vary

  • Must be declared undergraduate accounting major or be enrolled in the Master of Accountancy program
  • Must be enrolled full time (minimum 12 credit hours as an undergraduate or at least 9 credit hours as a graduate
  • Must have a 3.0 GPA in College of Business coursework, and minimum of 9 credit hours in major courses
    • Application requirement: College of Business Application, available in November each year
    • Deadline: February 15 each year

TENLEY K. STEVENS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP IN ACCOUNTING
Award: One award of $1,500 a year

  • Must be declared undergraduate accounting major or be enrolled in the Master of Accountancy program
  • Must demonstrate financial need as determined by Student Financial Aid
  • Preference will be given to women students as long as females are demonstrably underrepresented in the accounting profession
    • Application requirement: College of Business Application, available in November each year
    • Deadline: February 15 each year

TEXAS SOCIETY OF CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS
Award: $1500 Number of awards varies

  • Must be declared accounting major with the intent to becoming a Texas Certified Public Accountant
  • Must be enrolled full time (minimum 12 credit hours as an undergraduate or at least 9 credit hours as a graduate) and complete at least 3 accounting courses during the scholarship year
  • Must have a 3.6 GPA in accounting and have completed 15 semester credit hours of accounting courses required of accounting majors with a grade of B or better in each course by August 31
  • Must have satisfactorily completed at least 90 semester credit hours of college-level courses by August 31
  • Must be classified as a college senior or 5th year student in the fall semester or quarter
    • Application requirement: Application may be picked up in the Department of Accounting in June
    • Deadline: September each year
