ART GUYS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIPS
Award: One or more awards to graduate or undergraduate students; amount varies
Must be enrolled full time (minimum 12 credit hours for undergraduate students and 9 credit hours for graduate students) and actively pursuing a degree in the Department of Art and Art History at UTSA
Graduate applicants must:
- Meet or exceed The University's graduate-level admission standards as defined by the University's Graduate School and the Department of Art and Art History
- Be actively pursuing a MFA degree in the fine arts studio disciplines
- Hold a BA or BFA degree in art or a related discipline and must provide evidence that the appropriate degree will be completed by the start date of the first semester of the graduate level enrollment period.
Undergraduate applicants must:
- Be students actively pursuing a BFA or BA degree in the fine arts studio disciplines
Application requirements:
For graduate students: Application form along with an official transcript showing high quality grades in previous art/art history courses, a letter of introduction/intent, a copy of applicant's resume or CV demonstrating evidence of accomplishment, and two letters of recommendation (which can include faculty).

JAMES A. AND CINDY G. BRODERICK ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP IN ART AND ART HISTORY
Award: Number of awards and amounts vary
- Must be enrolled full time (minimum 12 credit hours for undergraduate students and 9 credit hours for graduate students) and actively pursuing a degree in the Department of Art and Art History at UTSA or its successor
- Must have minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a scale of 4.0)in his/her major
- Must be enrolled at UTSA at the time of application and must demonstrate outstanding artwork through presentation of their portfolio or slide portfolio to the committee
ANGELIKA JANSEN-BROWN AND ROBERT BROWN ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP IN ART
Award: Number of awards and amounts vary
- Must be enrolled full-time ( at least 9 semester hours) and actively pursuing a graduate degree in fine arts within the Department of Art and Art History
- Must demonstrate outstanding artwork through presentation of their portfolio or slide portfolio, clear evidence of technical proficiency and distinctive personal aesthetic in the arts and evidence of potential to solve contemporary problems in aspects of the visual arts.
- Must demonstrate excellent grades in previous art courses, as well as accomplishments evidenced by any documentary records of exhibitions, commissions or other related professional achievements
Application requirements: Graduate Art Scholarship application, which includes three letters of recommendation from known art professionals and a slide portfolio or a review of current graduate works.
PEGGY AND RICHARD CALVERT ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP
Award: Number of awards and amounts vary
- Must be a full-time art graduate student at UTSA
- Must demonstrate outstanding artwork through presentation of their slide portfolio. Clear evidence of technical proficiency and a distinctive personal aesthetic in the artworks must be presented.
- Must submit demonstrate evidence of their potential to solve contemporary problems in aspects of the visual arts
- Must submit demonstrate evidence of strong preparation for successful graduate study in Art as evidenced by excellent grades earned in previous art courses as well as in any documentary records of exhibitions, commissions or other related professional achievements
- Must submit three letters of recommendation from know art professionals
CHARLES AND GERMAINE FIELD ENDOWED PAINTING SCHOLARSHIP
Award: Number of awards and amounts vary
All applicants of the graduate level must:
- Be enrolled full time (at least 9 semester hours) and actively pursuing an M.F.A. degree with an emphasis on painting at UTSA
- Demonstrate outstanding artwork through presentation of their portfolio or slide portfolio. Clear evidence of technical proficiency and distinctive personal aesthetic in the artworks must be presented
- Demonstrate evidence of strong preparation for successful graduate study in art as evidenced by excellent grades earned in previous art courses as well as in any documentary records of exhibitions, commissions or other related professional achievements
- Submit three letters of recommendation from know art professionals, including faculty.
All applicants at the undergraduate level must:
- Have reached upper-division status (at least 60 semester hours)
- Be enrolled full time (at least 12 semester hours) and actively pursuing a B.F.A. degree with an emphasis on painting at UTSA
- Demonstrate evidence of excellence in previous art courses and potential for future success, as demonstrated by faculty recommendations, portfolio and grades. They will have declared painting as their area of concentration.
- Submit three letters of recommendation from known art professionals, including faculty
- Demonstrate outstanding artwork through presentation of their portfolio or slide portfolio. Clear evidence of technical proficiency and distinctive personal aesthetic in the artworks must be presented.
GLORIA GALT ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP
Award: Number and amounts vary
- Must be an undergraduate student actively pursuing a BFA in fine arts studio disciplines defined as:Ceramics, New Media, Painting, Drawing, Photography, Printmaking, or Sculpture OR pursuing a BA degree in Art History
- Must be enrolled on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 hrs) during award year
- Must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA

- Must be an graduate student actively pursuing a MFA in the Fine Arts studio disciplines defined as: Ceramics, New Media, Painting, Drawing, Photography, Printmaking, or Sculpture OR pursuing a MA degree in Art History
- Must be enrolled on a full-time basis ((minimum of 9 hours) during award year unless in final semester before graduation
- Must meet or exceed the University's undergraduate-level admission standards as defined by the University

Award: Number of awards and amounts vary
- Must be graduate students in good academic standing majoring in Art or Art history and actively pursuing a degree in the College of Liberal and Fine Arts at UTSA
- Be enrolled full-time (at least 9 semester hours) and actively pursuing a MFA or MA degree in Art History at UTSA. Award will alternate each year between fine arts majors and art history majors. The 2010-2011 award will be to an art history major

- Must be an undergraduate or graduate for Fine Arts majors, with a preference given to students concentrating in ceramic arts.
- Must be enrolled full time (minimum 12 credit hours for undergraduate students and 9 credit hours for graduate students) and actively pursuing a degree in the Department of Art and Art History at UTSA
- Graduate applicants must:

HERMAN AND JO ANNE WIGODSKY SCHOLARSHIP
Award: One award of $1,000 annually; equal amounts awarded in the fall and in the spring. Spring award is based upon satisfactory performance in the fall semester.
- Must be enrolled full-time (at least 9 semester hours) and actively pursuing a graduate degree in art or art history at UTSA
- Must demonstrate outstanding research, or clear evidence of technical proficiency, distinctive personal aesthetic in the arts and evidence of potential to solve contemporary problems in aspects of the visual arts in their artwork
- Must demonstrate excellent grades in previous art history or art courses, as well as accomplishments evidenced by any documentary records of exhibitions, commissions or other related professional achievements
