WILLIAM V. MASTORIS SCHOLARSHIP IN HUMANITIES
Award: Number of awards and amounts vary

• Must have graduated in the top 50 percent of high school class and have a minimum 2.5 GPA or have earned a 2.5 GPA in college or university work
• Must be enrolled full time (minimum 12 credit hours) as an undergraduate actively pursuing a degree in humanities
• Must be resident of Bexar County

A. RON MILLER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Award: Number and amount of awards vary

• Must be an undergraduate student actively pursing a philosophy degree in the Depart of Philosophy and Classics or its successor
• Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
• Must be enrolled full-time (minimum 12 hours) per semester during period of award

Application requirements: Completed scholarship application, and a letter of recommendation from a UTSA faculty member (transfer students may provide a letter from a professor at a college or university previously attend)

KENNETH ALAN HOVEY ENDOWED MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Award: Award amounts vary depending on the applicant pool and funds available

• Must be enrolled on a full-time basis (minimum 12 credit hours for undergraduate students and 6 credit hours for graduate students) and actively pursuing a degree in the Department of English or in Humanities in the Department of Philosophy and Classics
• Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 for undergraduates, 3.5 for graduates on a 4.0 scale
• Must demonstrate strong writing skills in a two-page writing sample, submitted along with the application. The topic varies from year to year
