ALLEN N. MARTINESE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP IN COMPUTER SCIENCE
Award: One award of $700 a year (awarded in the spring semester)

  • Must be majoring in computer science
  • Must have completed at least 30 hours
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
    • Application requirements: Allen N. Martinese Scholarship application, two letters of recommendation from UTSA faculty members and a 600-word essay
    • Deadline: March 31

MICHAEL MALTRUD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP IN COMPUTER SCIENCE
Award: $1,500 for the academic year ($750 per semester), if funds are available

  • Must be a full-time UTSA graduate or undergraduate majoring in computer science
  • Must have completed at least 60 hours
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Primary preference will be given to graduates of Marshall High School in San Antonio, Texas. Additional preference will be given to those who demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA
    • Application requirements: College of Sciences Scholarship application, two letters of recommendation from UTSA Computer Science faculty members and a one page essay describing themselves and their goals.
    • Deadline: March 31

DANIEL A.K. PROCTOR SCHOLARSHIP IN COMPUTER SCIENCE
Award: $2,000 ($1000 per semester)

  • Must be enrolled on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 credit hours) as an undergraduate and actively pursuing a degree in computer science at UTSA
  • Must have completed a minimum of 60 hours of credit
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Must have completed FAFSA on file
  • Must submit a letter stating your interest in computer science and your future ambitions
  • Preference given to students enrolled in the UTSA ROTC Program
    • Deadline: March 31
