Award: Eight awards of $10,000 for four years to first-time incoming freshman; two awards of $5,000 for two years to current UTSA students at the junior level
- First-time freshman must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA during their freshman year and at least a 2.5 GPA each semester thereafter
- Current junior level students must have completed or be in the process of completing, at least 60 credit hours; must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on all coursework attempted and must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA
- Must be a Bexar County resident
- Must enroll full time and complete a minimum of 12 credit hours

FOR ACCD TRANSFER STUDENTS
Award: Four awards of $5,000 each for two years ($1,250 per semester)
- Must be a Bexar County resident
- Must be admitted in good academic standing
- Must enroll full time and complete a minimum of 12 hours
- Must enroll in a S.A.L.E.-approved major (Approved List)
- Must have a minimum of 50 credit hours (including hours in progress) of transferable college credit and be part of the UTSA/ACCD Joint Admission Agreement Program
- Must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA on all coursework attempted prior to UTSA
- After the initial award students must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA and 12 credit hours per semester

Award: One $250 for undergraduate level and one $250 for graduate level
- Must be degree seeking "benefits eligible" in accordance with university policy and either a classified or administrative & professional staff employee at UTSA
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Must enroll for a minimum of 3 credit hours
- Must be in good academic standing
- Must supply a one-page, typed biographical essay describing obstacles or challenges faced in obtaining a higher education.
- Include personal and/or professional goals and the role of the scholarship in obtaining these goals. Also include any contributions made to UTSA and other information that will help the committee make an informed decision.

ANN BIGGS/THELMA SALAZAR SCHOLARSHIP FOR FIRST-GENERATION IMMIGRANT CHILDREN
Award: Number of awards and amounts vary
- Must be a child of first-generation immigrants to the United States. First-generation immigrant children are those who have at least one parent who immigrated to the United States. Preference will be given to children of immigrants from Mexico or Central America
- Must enroll full time in good academic standing
- Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA
- Applicants may be incoming freshmen, current undergraduates, transfer students, incoming graduate students and current graduate students. Priority will be given to students working on their baccalaureate degree
- Freshmen applicants must show preparedness for university coursework as determined by test scores, high school rank, grades and/or coursework

Award: Up to five awards each year at $5,000 each
- Must be current undergraduate in good academic standing, or first-time incoming freshmen or transfer students who have been admitted unconditionally to UTSA
- Must be enrolled full time (at least 12 hours) except when recipient is in final semester and does not require 12 hours to graduate
- Must be enrolled in at least 3 hours at the Downtown Campus in the first semester of award

- Must be graduates of Houston area high schools that will enter as freshmen
- Must demonstrate leadership and participation in extracurricular activities and/or community service
- Entering freshmen must have graduated in the top 25% of their high school class and have an SAT score of at least 900 or an ACT score of at least 20.
- Preference will be given to non-traditional students

THE STEVES FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP
Award: Number of awards and amounts vary
- Must enroll full time (minimum 12 hours) and actively pursuing a baccalaureate degree at the University, or its successor.
- Must have a 2.75 cumulative CGPA and in good standing with the university
- First-time freshmen must have a minimum SAT score of 940 and/or ACT score of 20
- Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA
- Special consideration will be given to applicants who are employees or related employees of Steves & Sons, San Antonio, Texas. A letter on company letterhead will accompany the application verifying this association.
- Special consideration will be given to graduates of high schools in the following San Antonio school districts: Edgewood , Harlandale, San Antonio and South San Antonio

ALAMO CHAPTER/ARMED FORCES COMMUNICATIONS ELECTRONICS ASSOCIATION (AFCEA) ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP
Award: Twenty-Five (25) awards of $1000 each ($500 per semester)
- Must enroll full time (minimum of 12 hours for undergraduates, 9 hours for graduate students). Exceptions: 1.) Students who are in their final semester before graduation and do not need 12 hours to complete degree and 2.) Students who are enrolled in student teaching
- Must be enrolled in one of the technology-oriented majors approved by AFCEA (See list)
- Undergraduate applicants must have completed at least 30 credit hours by the beginning of the Fall 2008 semester
- Preference will be given to applicants enrolled in ROTC, active duty members of the armed services and their immediate families (military dependents), and veterans of the armed services
- Application requirement: General Scholarship Application ; applicants applying for preference as ROTC members or active duty military and members of their immediate families (military dependents) must submit a copy of a current military photo ID. Veterans no longer on active duty must provide a copy of their DD Form 214.

ADMISSIONS RISING ROADRUNNER SCHOLARSHIP
Award: 30 awards of $1,000 for the first year ($500 per semester)
- Must be incoming first-time freshmen
- Must enroll for at least 12 hours at UTSA
- Must serve on the New Student Advisory Committee for first-year
- Selection will be based on extracurricular involvement/leadership, community service, awards, academics and the application essay
- Application Requirements: Rising Roadrunner Scholarship Application available on the admissions Web site at www.utsa.edu/admissions

Award: 15 annual scholarships of $2,000
- Must be a member of Phi Theta Kappa
- Must apply and be admitted by the application deadline
- Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on all college-level work
- Selection will be based primarily on cumulative GPA and essays

Award: $1000/year ($500 per semester); 30 awards available
- Must be a transfer from one of the following articulated agreement schools:
- Austin Community College
- Coastal Bend Community College
- Del Mar Community College
- Laredo Community College

- Southwest Texas Junior Community College
- Victoria College
- Must have a minimum transfer GPA of 3.0
- Must have completed a minimum of 50 transferable hours
- Must be enrolled in at least 12 semester hours (fall and spring) at UTSA
- Selection based on cumulative GPA and essays
