CENTRO CULUTURAL CUBANO SCHOLARSHIP IN SPANISH
Award: One scholarship ranging from $500 - $1,000 depending on available funds

  • Must be undergraduate student enroll in a minimum of 12 semester credit hours per semester as a Spanish major
  • Must have completed at least 48 semester hours by the semester in which the scholarship will be received
  • Must have an overall cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
  • Preference will be given to students demonstrating financial need as determined by the FAFSA
    • Application requirements: Application form and a 300-word essay written in Spanish addressing interest in the study of the Spanish language, a 100-or-more-word essay in English addressing a financial need for the scholarship, and one letter of recommendation from a college or university instructor who is familiar with the applicant's academic work.

MODERN LANGUAGES AND LITERATURES INTERNATIONAL STUDIES SCHOLARSHIP
Award: Number of awards and amounts vary

  • Must enroll in:
    1. faculty-led international programs for direct UTSA credit in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures; or
    2. individual study abroad programs for direct UTSA credit in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures; or
    3. pre-approved study abroad programs with transfer credit for a language major or minor

  • Must be a major or minor in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures
