Scholarships from Outside UTSA

Outside scholarships, also known as private scholarships, are scholarship awards not provided directly by UTSA. There are many scholarship opportunities from outside donors, such as local clubs, organizations, foundations, scholarships from the State of Texas and scholarships from organizations and businesses outside of UTSA.

Recipients of outside scholarship awards will be notified directly by the scholarship donor. Outside scholarship funds received by UTSA will be added to the student's financial aid award package and applied to the account, however, funds from outside sources may affect other financial aid you have been awarded from UTSA.

It is highly recommended that students notify the Financial Aid and Scholarships office when informed of their scholarship selection by submitting an Outside Scholarship Form. Federal regulations require all aid to fit within the student's Cost of Attendance (COA) so awards will be adjusted accordingly. Visit Cost of Attendance for more information.

Scholarship donors may mail checks to:

The University of Texas at San Antonio
Attn: Financial Aid & Scholarships
One UTSA Circle
