Must be enrolled full time (at least 12 credit hours) each semester
Must be actively pursuing a degree in political science
Must have completed at least 60 hours of college credit (attained junior status at the time of application)
Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
Must be a resident of Texas and citizen or permanent resident of the United States
Preference will be given to students demonstrating a financial need as determined by the FAFSA

Must be full-time undergraduate students with a declared major in political science or geography
Must have attained at least junior status at the time of application
Must have at least a minimum UTSA GPA of 2.7
Must be Texas resident
- Application requirement: Application (original plus four copies) with essay addressing following: 1) Why do you believe this scholarship should be awarded to you? 2) Explain your expected future contributions to the field of political science or geography. 3) What pivotal experiences in your life, including your education, have encouraged you to pursue a degree in political science or geography?

Must be actively pursuing a geography degree
Must be a resident of South Texas
Must have graduated in the top 50 percent of high school class
Must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
- Application requirement: Application (original plus four copies)

Must be a graduate student in political science
Must submit a one-page essay on why they are pursuing the M.A. in political science, what they plan to do after graduation, and their current financial need as determined by the FAFSA
- Application requirements: Application (original plus four copies) with one-page essay
- Deadline: February 15
