THE DR. JAMES M. DAY SCHOLARSHIP IN SOCIAL SERVICES
Award: Disbursed in equal payments for fall and spring as long as funds are available

• Must be a graduate student at UTSA actively pursuing a degree from the College of Public Policy in the Department of Social Work; preference will be given to applicants who have a community college background prior to transferring to UTSA and/or single parents.
• Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours but applicants with at least 9 credit hours will be given preference
• Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA
• Funds from this scholarship are contingent upon the recipient successfully maintaining at least all minimum selection criteria
• Recipients will be selected by a committee officially recognized by the university and appointed by the dean of the College of Public Policy
• Notification of the recipients and their progress will be made in writing annually to the donor
