McKinney Elected to NACA National Board
Dr. Barry S. McKinney, Director of Student Activities at The University of Texas at San Antonio, has been elected to The National Association for Campus Activities™ (NACA) Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is a dedicated group of staff, students, and associates who provide leadership to the NACA and are responsible for the overall strategic direction, effectiveness, and financial stability of the Association. Members of the Board of Directors are selected through an application and election process. The primary commitment of Board members is to maintain an awareness of the needs and interests of the membership and represent their views during Board discussions on strategic direction, approval of the Association Strategic Plan, and approval of the annual budget. McKinney has been elected for a two-year term beginning on May 1, 2011.

NACA advances campus activities in higher education through a business and learning partnership, creating educational and business opportunities for its school and professional members. NACA now has more than 950 college and university members and over 500 associate members who represent artists, lecturers and performers. McKinney has been quite involved in the association for several years. Most recently, McKinney served the Association as the Central Region Conference Committee Chair. In this role, he led a committee which facilitated the 2010 Central Region Conference in Arlington, Texas, in October. McKinney also has experience as the Regional Block Booking Representative Coordinator for three years. Congratulations Barry!
