The UTSA Staff Council is thrilled to honor the Office of the Registrar’s Graduation Coordination Team with the May 2011 Staff Council Appreciation Award! The Staff Council Appreciation Award is a monthly award given to staff on our campuses that epitomize UTSA’s commitment to student success. Nominated by Amy Ramirez, Academic Advisor in the College of Business, “the Graduation Coordination Office (GCO) assists all advisors and students with graduation and commencement questions. In addition, GCO finalizes degrees and prints diplomas for all graduation candidates at UTSA. They also organize and plan commencement exercises, as well as oversee the pre-ceremony line-up before each of the five commencement ceremonies. Thus, GCO spends a great deal of time working behind the scenes. Nonetheless, their direct efforts and dedication are integral in making UTSA a better community.” Congratulations to Graduation Coordination on such a significant accomplishment achieved by their love of and loyalty to UTSA and its students!!!

The University Career Center staff would like to say KUDOS to the Staff Networking Team for putting together an awesome evening of camaraderie, fun and great bowling at this year’s Student Affairs Jamboree!!! Our team members had a fantastic time and I know that all of the Student Affairs staff did as well. So again, thank you to all of you for your hard work in planning this event!!! We really do work for the BEST Division at UTSA!!!!!

Brett,

Today, Brett, we present you with Thank You, Rowdy in recognition not only of your dedication to the Office of Admissions, but to UTSA as a whole. As an alumnus of the University of Texas of San Antonio, and as a loyal supporter of UTSA athletics and other programs, your dedication is unmatched. You also demonstrate your patriotism almost daily by working with the ROTC staff and future ROTC Roadrunners and by never missing the opportunity to thank our American veterans for their service to our country. In the Office of Admissions, you are always willing to help your coworkers and future students whether it be answering questions, providing information or explaining procedure. For all of this and more, Brett, we say thank you and job well done.
