True Colors Training--Staff

The True Colors facilitators trained close to 400 students (new and returning) in a concentrated time frame, 8/13, 8/18/11 and 8/20/11. The majority of the training took place on two days. Enhanced curriculum was designed for those students we are happy to be welcoming back for another year of employment with Student Affairs. Congrats to all- students, facilitators, behind the scenes staff (you know who we’re talking about), that make it all come together to prepare to serve our 30,000 UTSA students in excellence in service and programming! Good job!

This was a great year for the Division’s common language experience. From August 30, 2010 to today- over 1000 students, staff, parents, and community members (including municipal court) have attended our True Colors® workshops. We increased the number of facilitators to meet the needs of our community and to further specialize the curriculum. This past year we offered training specifically geared to student workers within the division to assure that we are introducing the color spectrum and respective language application in the workplace. In the next week we will be distributing a survey to staff to assess the use of the common language and identify future training needs. Thanks for all the support.
