Self-awareness is widely recognized as a foundational element of effective leadership. When you take the time to process your personal perspectives, it becomes easier to connect with others. You know how to describe yourself, how you communicate and what are your strengths and weaknesses. Self-awareness helps you become more comfortable with your true self, often granting you a deeper sense of authenticity, which can be a powerful leadership tool.
It was partly with this in mind that the Leadership and Service Floor residents of San Saba Hall got together with VPSA Education Team members to learn about True Colors.
The students in attendance had a great time and got to know themselves and each other a little better; all while creating some of the most humorous campus building renovations ever.

Has your color spectrum changed over the years? How?
Describe those changes to your colleagues. Remember True Colors is a tool to understanding others and ourselves. It is as a common language because we talk about it and use it to articulate our perspectives to each other. Keep it going.
