Eligibility
To be considered for a UTSA Terry Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Eligibility for High School Students
- Demonstrate a record of leadership and service.
- Have strong academic abilities, as evidenced by grades and standardized test scores.
- Have financial need.
- Be attending a Texas high school during the 2013-2014 academic year or be a home-schooled Texas resident.
- Be a citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.
- Apply for admission to UTSA by February 1, 2014.
- Apply for financial aid, using the FAFSA, by March 1, 2014.
- First-Year Terry Scholars are required to live on campus. On campus housing applications and deposits are required upon award of scholarship.
Eligibility for Transfer Students
- Demonstrate a record of leadership and service.
- Have completed at least 30 hours at a college or university other than UTSA.
- Be an incoming transfer student for the fall semester
- Have strong academic abilities, as evidenced by a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Have financial need.
- Be a Texas Resident
- Be a citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.
- Apply for admission to UTSA by March 15, 2014.
- Apply for financial aid, using the FAFSA, by March 15, 2014.
