LSAT (Law School Admissions Test)
The Law School Admission Test is a half-day standardized test required for admission to all 202 LSAC member law schools. The LSAT is designed to measure skills that are considered essential for success in law school: 1) the reading and comprehension of complex tests with accuracy and insight, 2) the organization and management of information and the ability to draw reasonable inferences from it, 3) the ability to reason critically, and 4) the analysis and evaluation of the reasoning and argument of others.
The LSAT provides a standard measure of acquired reading and verbal reasoning skills that law schools can use as one of several factors in assessing applicants.
