The Provots's Academy is at full enrollment. You are welcome to join our waiting list.
Join fellow faculty for this three-day retreat focused on offering teaching techniques to enhance your students’ critical thinking skills.
"There are more ways to teach than lecturing. That’s why workshops like this are really good. They give you more tools to work with. Because of similar workshops, I changed the way I approach classes a long time ago, which made teaching easier and the students more receptive." — Dr. Richard Lee Utecht, Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing
The Academy features nationally-known presenters, modeling innovative teaching approaches and practical ideas for course enhancement. Topics covered will include:
- How people learn
- Introduction to blended course design, complementing OIT’s Hybrid Course Academy
- Practical ideas for course redesign/enhancement with hands-on time to focus on upcoming courses
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
UTSA faculty members looking for an opportunity to enhance teaching skills, develop critical thinkers, and network with faculty colleagues are encouraged to enroll. The Academy is open to both tenure-track and non-tenure-track faculty.
