The weekend activities offered an opportunity to involve parents and other family members in life at UTSA with activities including campus tours, information tables, open houses and an information meeting conducted by the Office of Student Affairs.
Participants had the opportunity to meet UTSA faculty and staff and enjoyed a tailgate party preceding a volleyball match against Southeastern Louisiana, an outdoor brunch at the Sombrilla Plaza on the 1604 Campus, tours of the Chisholm Hall and University Oaks student housing facilities, a family association meeting and games for the children in attendance.
The weekend's activities were planned by a university-wide committee including faculty, staff, administrators and students. The committee was co-chaired by Pat Graham, Special Events Center executive director, and Lisa Alonzo, director of new student programs.
