UTSA Office of Legal Affairs names associate counsel
(Oct. 1, 2003)--The University of Texas at San Antonio Office of Legal Affairs announces the appointment of Nora Ochoa Evans as associate counsel. At UTSA, Evans will work with contracts.

Evans worked for nearly five years with the UT System Office of General Counsel, where she managed the business law section and specialized in oil and gas law, environmental law and related health and safety issues.
"It feels very good to be back home and doing work that I know is meaningful because of the university's growth," said the Highlands High School graduate. "There's a really nice community spirit and I look forward to helping with UTSA's increasing transactional and contracting needs."
Evans earned a bachelor of arts degree at UT Austin and a doctor of jurisprudence degree from the University of Texas School of Law.
She began her career with the Texas General Land Office where she worked in negotiation, mediation, litigation, legislation and management.
She served as a civilian legal assistance attorney at the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate at Pirmasens Army Post, Germany, during Desert Storm.
