(Oct. 13, 2003)--The UTSA Tuition
Deregulation and Fees Committee will host informational meetings this
month for UTSA students, the UTSA community and the general public regarding
tuition increases effective in the Spring 2004 semester. The meeting schedule
is listed below.

The committee, composed of UTSA students, faculty and staff members, will
submit a tuition plan no later than Nov. 1 to the UT System proposing changes
in the existing schedule of tuition and fees for the Spring 2004 semester.
The information sessions are to discuss:
Discussion of plans to increase tuition will include priorities for using
the additional funds. Information will also be provided that compares the
differences in impact at current and proposed tuition levels on teaching,
academic support and other student services, research and university services.
Students are welcome at any information session regardless of major, although
the sessions are organized by college or school.
