
UTSA State Employee Charitable Campaign is underway
(Oct. 13, 2003)--UTSA's 2003 State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) is underway and all faculty and staff are encouraged to contribute to help reach the $120,000 goal. For the ninth consecutive year, UTSA is teaming up with the Bexar County United Way Association to help raise money to help 98 agencies that provide crucial social services and community programs for area residents.
Open invitation meetings to hear the United Way story and learn about the electronic pledge management system are scheduled Oct. 20-30 at the 1604 and Downtown campuses.
Contributions will be collected through Nov. 7. Campaign information booklets and pledge forms will be available at the meetings or through departmental representatives.
George Norton, 2003 SECC chairman and assistant vice president for admissions, encourages faculty and staff to take advantage of the electronic pledge management system, United eWay, which allows participants to make contributions online.
Staff can also use paper pledge forms to make pledges for payroll deduction or for contributions by cash or check. Paper pledge forms should be submitted in a sealed envelope by Nov. 7 to your departmental representative or at John Peace Library Building Room 1.01.12.
