An opening reception, free and open to all, is 6-9 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 6 at the UTSA Satellite Space. Gallery hours are noon-6 p.m., Friday-Sunday, or by appointment.
Koenig's painting technique reflects a desire to make beautiful, inspirational objects. Each piece consists of intricate layers of acrylic paint built up to create tactile seductive surfaces infused with color.
The works in clay by Tambasis explore the concepts of stacking and layering. Forms in her works range from smooth, richly colored surfaces to rough textures.
The UTSA Satellite Space receives major support from the UTSA College of Liberal and Fine Arts, the Department of Art and Art History, and Bruce and Janet Lennie Flohr.
