UTSA community invited to Great American Smokeout Nov. 20

(Nov. 5, 2003)--Quitters across the nation will enjoy fanfare and public support Thursday, Nov. 20 during the American Cancer Society's 27th Great American Smokeout as they try to quit smoking for at least one day.

UTSA community members are invited to the breezeway between the University Center and the Humanities and Social Sciences Building on the 1604 Campus from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Nov. 20.

Pamphlets, classes, literature and giveaway items will be available to assist in smoking cessation.

Thousands of U.S. smokers will find the motivation to quit for the day -- or for good. They double their chances for success by getting help or calling a quitline. Call 1-800-ACS-2345 to find support in your area.

Take the Stop Smoking Quiz.
