UTSA hosts Jan. 29 science job information session
(Jan. 21, 2004)--The UTSA College of Sciences Undergraduate Advising Center (COS Advising) and the Health Professions Office will host an information session, "Pre-Valentine S.M.A.K.: Summer Money and Kool-Opportunities," from 3 to 5 p.m. Jan. 29 in the University Center Mesquite Room (2.01.24) at the UTSA 1604 Campus.

Science majors (biology, chemistry, geology, physics, multidisciplinary science, computer science and mathematics), those interested in majoring in the sciences and students who plan to attend graduate and health profession schools are invited to attend the session.
Participants will learn about summer opportunities including volunteering, internships, study abroad, research and enrichments research. Students who have experienced these programs first-hand will participate at the event in a panel discussion.
Additionally, presenters include staff members from Career Services, COS Advising, and the Health Professions Office who will discuss campus resources and applying to the various programs. Most summer-program deadlines are from mid-February to early March.
