UTSA Homecoming Week runs Feb. 2-7

(Feb. 2, 2004)--UTSA's Homecoming 2004 kicks off Mon., Feb. 2 with the Greek Life Sidewalk and Car Chalking in lot 11 at the 1604 Campus. Come by at 5 p.m. and have your car decorated.

Homecoming events are open to the entire UTSA community. Everyone is encouraged to wear their UTSA orange-and-blue this week.

The week concludes with the Roadrunners hosting conference foe McNeese State in the Convocation Center Feb. 7. The women's game tips off at 2 p.m., followed by the men's game at 4 p.m. Festivities begin at 1 p.m. with free food at the tailgate party in front of the Convocation Center. Both games will be televised on Time Warner Cable channel 19.

Monday, Feb. 2

  • Greek Life Sidewalk and Car Chalking, 1604 Campus lot 11, 5 p.m.
    Bring your car to lot 11 where the Greek Life organizations will decorate it. Help support your UTSA basketball team!

Tuesday, Feb. 3

  • Golf Cart Parade decorating, next to Humanities and Social Sciences Building, 1604 Campus, 7 p.m.
    If your organization want to decorate a golf cart and get involved with the tradition, go to the Office of Student Leadership and Cultural Programs, University Center Room 1.02.08, 1604 Campus, for rules and details.
  • RSO Council Window Wars, University Center, 1604 Campus, 2 p.m.
  • Mr. and Ms. UTSA online voting begins. Go to ASAP and click on "survey."

Wednesday, Feb. 4

  • SAA Where's Rowdy? Contest, Sombrilla Plaza,1604 Campus, 5 p.m.
    Groups and individuals can search for Rowdy and win a prize.
  • SGA Golf Cart Parade, Sombrilla Plaza, 1604 Campus, noon
    Come see the decorated carts on parade.

Thursday, Feb 5

  • Pep Rally, Chisholm Hall, 1604 Campus, 6:30 p.m.
    Meet the UTSA men's basketball team and enjoy free food.

Friday, Feb. 6

  • CAB Lip Sync Contest, Sombrilla Plaza, 1604 Campus, noon
    Compete to win the title of Best Lip Sync singer.

Saturday, Feb. 7

  • Tailgate Party, Convocation Center, 1604 Campus, 1 p.m.
    Free food and the opportunity to meet other UTSA students and support UTSA basketball.
    Participating organizations: CAB, Greek Life, VOICES, Ambassadors, Physical Therapy Society, SAA, RSO Council and Chisholm Hall
