Alumna honored during National Engineers Week
(Feb. 17, 2004)--Laura Campa, 1995 UTSA College of Engineering alumna, has been named the Texas Society of Professional Engineers Bexar Chapter Young Engineer of the Year.

Campa is a project manager with Drash Consulting Engineers Inc. and is responsible for project management from the proposal stage to the final report. It's the second consecutive year a UTSA College of Engineering alumnus has been honored. Last year 1998 alumna Lara Schoenenberger received the award.
Campa received the award Tuesday morning at a proclamation breakfast kicking off National Engineers Week. The College of Engineering is celebrating with a variety of activities including an open house and a lecture presentation.
The open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19 in the Engineering Building on the 1604 Campus features exhibits and student projects. A lecture by Jerry Brown, retired group vice president from Amoco, USA Operations will follow at 4 p.m. in Engineering Building Room 2.04.06.
