Tournament send-off for UTSA Roadrunners baseball team is 1:30 p.m. today
(May 24, 2004)--After a two-year postseason drought, the UTSA baseball team has qualified for the 2004 Southland Conference Baseball Tournament.
A send-off for the team is set for 1:30 p.m., Monday, May 24 in front of the Convocation Center at the UTSA 1604 Campus.

The Roadrunners (27-29, 12-14 SLC) enter as the No. 6 seed in the six-team, double-elimination tournament that will be held Wednesday-Saturday, May 26-29, in Hammond, La.
Southeastern Louisiana University will serve as the host institution with all games being played at Alumni Field.
This marks the first postseason appearance for UTSA since head coach Sherman Corbett's first season in 2001. UTSA faces SLC regular season champion and No. 1 seed Lamar University, which is ranked No. 26 nationally, at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
