Congressman, UTSA sponsor district art competition
(May 14, 2004)--UTSA and Congressman Charles A. Gonzalez will host the 20th Congressional District of Texas Art Competition at 10 a.m., May 15 in the Durango Building Southwest Room (1.125) at the UTSA Downtown Campus.

Artwork in the competition was submitted by area elementary and secondary students. Prizes will be awarded and the first-place winner's artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.
First prize in the contest is round-trip airfare for three to Washington, D.C., and $1,700 for hotel and expenses to attend the National Congressional Art Exhibition July 13.
Additional awards are $150 for second place, $100 for third place and $50 for third place.
Parking for the event will be available in the UTSA garage adjacent to I-35 at the Downtown Campus.
