
UTSA to host May 18 blood drive at BTC
(May 17, 2004)--The South Texas Blood and Tissue Center will conduct the BTC Semiannual Blood Drive from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 18 at the Business Technology Center (BTC) parking lot at the UTSA Downtown Campus.
The BTC, which houses the UTSA School of Architecture, is located across from the Frio Street Building at the Downtown Campus.

Anyone 17 years or older, who weighs at least 110 pounds and is in good general
health may donate blood. All donors must show proper identification before
beginning the donation process. Each donor will receive a free t-shirt.
All donors receive a free cholesterol screening and mini-physical consisting of blood pressure, iron level, pulse and temperature check.
Every three seconds, someone in our country needs blood. That's 30 people per minute, 1,800 people in an hour, 43,200 people each day, 302,400 people each week and 15 million people each year.
