Spring commencement is May 7-8 at UTSA
(May 7, 2004)--More than 2,500 students will walk the stage Friday, May 7
and Saturday, May 8 at the UTSA Convocation Center as the spring semester
concludes with four commencement ceremonies. See the ceremony schedule below.
Each ceremony will be broadcast live on Time Warner Cable channel 19 and on
UTSA Television monitors around campus. The College of Business will
kick off the weekend with a 5 p.m. ceremony Friday.
Speakers scheduled for the commencement ceremonies are:

Chief Justice Alma L. Lopez, Texas 4th Court of Appeals
(College of Business ceremony, 5 p.m., Friday, May 7)

State Senator Judith Zaffirini (College of Engineering,
College of Sciences ceremony, 9 a.m., Saturday, May 8)

Albert Estrada, Sterling Bank vice president and UTSA
Alumni Association president (School of Architecture, College of
Liberal and Fine Arts ceremony, 1 p.m., Saturday, May 8)

Judge Edward C. Prado (College of Education and Human
Development, College of Public Policy ceremony, 5 p.m., Saturday, May 8)
A reception follows each ceremony at the Convocation Center east lawn.
