The first phase of the projects begins in early June during non-peak hours with the building of scaffolding from the second floors of each atrium to the skylights. The skylights will be sealed completely from the areas below to ensure pedestrian safety.
Due to temporary plywood decking blocking sunlight into the atriums and the placement of numerous scaffolding support poles on the second floors of the buildings, temporary lighting and safety barricades will be installed.
The work platforms above the decking have been designed to minimally impact pedestrian traffic flow, while providing sufficient support for the work above.
