UTSA community invited to Cardenas farewell
(July 28, 2004)--UTSA President Ricardo Romo invites the UTSA community to a farewell reception for Blandina "Bambi" Cardenas, dean of the College of Education and Human Development.
The reception is 2:30-4 p.m., Thursday, July 29 in the Business Building University Room (2.06.04) at the 1604 Campus.

Cardenas was named president of the University of Texas - Pan American on Monday, June 21 by the UT System Board of Regents.
"Dean Cardenas has served UTSA extremely well during a time of rapid enrollment and programmatic growth," said Romo. "She is an exceptionally talented educator and administrator who will bring great leadership to UTPA. She has been key to many great initiatives, particularly in the College of Education and Human Development."
The University of Texas - Pan American is one of nine academic universities and six health institutions that comprise the University of Texas System, the state's largest higher education system.
