UTSA receives gift from North Chamber's Lead SA Foundation
(Aug. 16, 2004)--UTSA last week received funding for three scholarships from the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce's charitable foundation, Lead SA, at the second annual Salute to Excellence event.
The gift creates three scholarships to be awarded in the 2005-2006 academic year to UTSA students pursing degrees in economic development.

The $2,500 scholarships will be named for three members of the San Antonio Economic Development Foundation (EDF): Ed Kelley, 2003-2005 chairman of the EDF board and president and CEO of USAA Real Estate Company; Mario Hernandez, president of EDF; and Joe McKinney, former EDF board chairman and vice chairman of Broadway Bank.
