Week of Welcome

UTSA community invited to Week of Welcome

(Aug. 17, 2004)--Put your best foot forward -- Week of Welcome is here again.

Hard to believe, but when you are soaring like a rocket, the fall semester arrives faster than you think. UTSA's traditional Week of Welcome begins Friday, August 20 and continues through Tuesday, August 31.

WOW features a variety of events, free food and great ways to meet other students and UTSA faculty and staff. Most events are free and open to the entire UTSA community.

See the full schedule below.

From Rowdy Days (see link for FAQ page) to the Roadrunner Spirit Rally and the President's Fall Reception and BBQ with Alumni, Campus Recreation and University Housing -- it's time to roll out a big UTSA welcome to all students. This year's WOW features two movie nights, karaoke, fajitas and last year's winner of The Last Comic Standing, Dat Phan. So, check out the schedule, dust off your orange and blue and join the fiesta!

"UTSA on the Move" starts the festivities on Friday, August 20 when students return to campus (or arrive for their first college experience) and move in to University Oaks, Chisholm Hall and Chaparral Village.

WOW sponsors are Chipotle Grill, Gateway, Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions, Apartments Now, Wrigley's Big Red, Compass Bank, San Antonio Express-News, International Bank of Commerce, SuperTarget and Woodforest National Bank.
