UTSA throws voter registration concert party
(Sept. 21, 2004)--Halfway to the goal of registering 2,000 voters by Oct. 2, the UTSA Honors Alliance, Campus Activities Board and Student Government Association will host a concert party, "UV'04," from 2:30 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 23 at the University Center second floor lounge on the 1604 Campus.
The event is free and open to all.

More than 100 voter registration deputies will be on hand to help register voters. With only 386 active voters in precinct 3149 in UTSA housing, there is a big opportunity to register more students from the pool of 3,000 on-campus residents and 23,000 off-campus residents.
The "UV'04" (UTSA Votes) concert features Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriters Beaver Nelson and Susan Gibson, as well as San Antonio's Lotus Tribe and DR Grandmaster Mike.
UTSA Student Government Association election results will be announced at the event at 5 p.m. Online voting is Sept. 21-22.
