
UTSA hosts 'who-will-win?' election event Oct. 28
(Oct. 27, 2004)--Back by popular demand, the UTSA College of Liberal and Fine Arts Social Science Lecture Series presents "Who Will Win the 2004 Election? An Evening of Predictive Fun with the Electoral College" at 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 28 in Main Building Lecture Hall (0.106) on the UTSA 1604 Campus.
Hosts Richard Gambitta, chair of the UTSA Department of Political Science and Geography and director of the Institute for Law and Public Affairs, and Amy Jasperson, UTSA assistant professor of political science and director of the Media Elections Studio, will do a state-by-state review of campaign advertising, media coverage and voting behavior and predict how each state will vote in the Nov. 2 presidential election.

In 2000, Gambitta correctly predicted that the election would hinge on Florida and that George W. Bush would win.
