David Gabler, UTSA assistant vice president for university communications, accepted the certificate for innovations in internal communications.
"This award is a great honor for the entire communications team," said Gabler. "I know we will continue to be a leader in all areas of communications, and I thank everyone for their work on this effort."
"It's exciting and a surprise to receive this award," said Tim Brownlee, UTSA Today editor. "We're glad that our efforts to keep the UTSA community informed have been recognized, and we will continue to work to make our news source as useful, informative and interesting as possible."
Seven awards were presented at the seminar on topics including community relations, development, alumni relations, special events, governmental relations and communications. All 15 UT components and the UT System were represented at the event.
