UTSA groups host lecture on Mayan political ecology
(Nov. 3, 2004)--The UTSA Lambda Alpha Anthropological Honors Society and the Anthropology Club host a lecture by Jon Lohse, director of the Blue Creek Project in Belize, at 2 p.m., Nov. 5 in Business Building Room 3.01.12 at the 1604 Campus.

Lohse will speak on "Classic Maya Political Ecology in Upper Northwestern Belize."
The recipient of a National Geographic grant, Lohse is overseeing the excavating and researching of the ancient Maya lowlands.
The project is funded by the Maya Research Project, the Aahu Foundation and the Missouri University Research Reactor.
