Frost lecture series hosts CEO Jeanie Wyatt Nov. 16

(Nov. 15, 2004)--The UTSA College of Business presents Jeanie Wyatt, chief executive officer of South Texas Money Management, Ltd., as the keynote speaker for the Frost Bank Distinguished Lecture Series at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 16 in the UTSA Business Building Auditorium (2.01.02), 1604 Campus. The event is free and open to the public.

Wyatt founded South Texas Money Management in 2000. The company is committed to producing competitive investment returns and providing highly individualized client service. With more than $550 million in assets under management, it is among the fastest-growing investment advisory firms in the country focused on high-net-worth clients.

She previously served as executive vice president and head of Frost Investment Services. Wyatt was responsible for the investment areas of nine trust departments around the state with approximately $13 billion in assets.

A business and community leader, she was named San Antonio's Entrepreneur of the Year in 2003 by the Women's Chamber of Commerce. Wyatt also is a Texas Business Hall of Fame honoree, a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners and a member of the UTSA College of Business Advisory Council.

Wyatt is past chairman of the Association for Investment Management and Research Public Awareness Committee and served on the AIMR board of governors, an international organization of more than 100,000 investment professionals.

She writes a regular column about investing for the San Antonio Express-News and has contributed a regular column for National Public Accountant magazine. A chartered financial analyst, she has an honors degree in actuarial science from the University of Texas at Austin and a M.B.A. from UTSA.

The Frost Bank Distinguished Lecture Series brings prominent business and community leaders to UTSA to share their knowledge and experiences with students and others in the university and business community. The lecture series, which began in 1988, presents an opportunity to broaden the understanding of the business world and the individuals who lead it.

The UTSA College of Business is accredited by AACSB International, The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. It is one of the 40 largest business schools in the nation with more than 5,700 enrolled students and 37 different graduate and undergraduate business programs.
