
Gerry Dizinno
UTSA names director of institutional research
(Dec. 8, 2004)--The UTSA Office of the Provost announces the appointment of Gerry Dizinno as director of institutional research.
Dizinno comes to UTSA from St. Mary's University, where he served as assistant to the president for planning and institutional research and supervisor of information technology.

"In addition to his rich background and expertise, Gerry brings creativity and insight to this vital role," said Sandra Welch, vice provost for academic compliance and institutional research. "We are looking forward to the contributions he will make as UTSA moves to tier-one research status."
Dizinno earned a B.S. degree in psychology at the State University College at New Paltz (N.Y.). He was awarded M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in psychology at Florida State University with specialty areas in experimental psychology, biopsychology and statistics.
His research interests include enrollment projection, retention analysis, data warehousing, institutional planning and research, and evaluation and test construction as applied to higher education and industrial and organizational settings.
Dizinno serves as a consultant for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and is active in the Association for Institutional Research, the Southern Association for Institutional Research and the Texas Association of Institutional Research.
