UTSA hosts blood drives, bone marrow registration
(Jan. 21, 2005)--UTSA Student Health Services and the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center will host three blood drives and bone marrow registration at the UTSA 1604 and Downtown campuses. The local blood center must collect 500 units of blood daily to meet the needs of local hospitals and clinics.
As part of National Blood Donor Month, the events include a free baseball cap for each donor, refreshments and prizes.

RSS FeedsThe Downtown Campus blood drive is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, Jan. 24 in Buena Vista Street Building Room 1.338.
Drives at the 1604 Campus are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 26 and Thursday, Jan. 27 in the University Center Laurel Room (2.01.28).
Blood donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good general health. It is recommended to drink plenty of water before the donation. A photo I.D. is required prior to giving blood.
