UTSA names associate vice president for administration
(Feb. 21, 2005)--The University of Texas at San Antonio announces the appointment of Pamela S. Bacon as associate vice president for administration in the Office of Business Affairs effective March 28.

"Pamela Bacon will serve the university well with her education and experience," said Kerry L. Kennedy, UTSA vice president for business affairs. "I look forward to utilizing her expertise in providing strategic and operational planning, assistance in the development and formulation of policy and analysis of proposed state higher education-related legislation."
Bacon is currently the county attorney for the Incorporated County of Los Alamos, N.M. Previously, she served at the UT System Office of General Counsel as an attorney and section manager specializing in business law and as assistant to the executive vice chancellor for business affairs.
She earned a juris doctorate degree from the University of New Mexico and an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
Bacon will be directly responsible for the parking and transportation and organizational development offices, and will play a strategic role in the preparation and review of business affairs contracts and contracting policies and procedures. Additionally, she will serve as liaison to all university departments in the area of contract processing.
