UTSA students invited to meeting on fellowships
(Feb. 8, 2005)--UTSA students and faculty members are invited to an information session on fall 2005 and spring 2006 fellowship opportunities with the Archer Center in Washington, D.C. The information session is 1-3 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 9 in the University Center Willow Room (2.02.12), UTSA 1604 Campus.

The Bill Archer Fellowship Program was established by the University of Texas System and former U.S. Rep. Bill Archer to send highly motivated and accomplished Texas students to Washington to participate in internships and classes on policy, economics and persuasion.
Selected students work with organizations such as the U.N. Information Center, U.S. Department of State, White House and congressional offices, federal agencies and nonprofits.
Students in the program can expect an exhausting, rewarding experience that will expose them to the workings of the federal government and offer contacts for future internships and career opportunities.
