Jenifer Sarver, director of the Archer Center, will be available to discuss the program, requirements for participation, costs and available stipends.
The Bill Archer Fellowship Program was established by the University of Texas System and former U.S. Rep. Bill Archer to send highly motivated and accomplished Texas students to Washington to participate in internships and classes on policy, economics and persuasion.
Selected students work with organizations such as the U.N. Information Center, U.S. Department of State, White House and congressional offices, federal agencies and nonprofits.
Students in the program can expect an exhausting, rewarding experience that will expose them to the workings of the federal government and offer contacts for future internships and career opportunities.
To apply for a fellowship, visit the Archer Center Web site and select "Prospective Students."
