UTSA Alumni Association hosts Diploma Dash 5K Run Feb. 26
(Feb. 23, 2005)--The UTSA Alumni Association hosts the Diploma Dash 5K Run/City Championship and Fitness Walk on the UTSA 1604 Campus at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26.
Registration is $25 at the event with check-in at 8 a.m. and the race at 9 a.m. An awards presentation follows the race.

The cash prizes for this year's run are bigger than ever before, thanks to new sponsor Rumbo de San Antonio, with $350 each for first place in both the men's division and women's division, $250 each for second place and $100 each for third place. The person setting a new record will be awarded $100.
This year, there are two new race categories: The Clydesdale for men weighing 190 pounds or more and the Filly for women weighing 140 pounds or more.
The event is open to runners and walkers, with proceeds benefiting UTSA scholarship programs and student activities. Diploma Dash also serves as San Antonio's 5K championship. This year's presenting sponsor is Argonaut Group, Inc, a San Antonio-based national specialty underwriter.
