An opening reception, free and open to the public, is 7-9 p.m., Friday, Feb. 11. Exhibit hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday-Friday, and noon to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.
"Montoya is an artist who chooses to unite his aesthetic and political principles," said Arturo Almeida, exhibit curator and UTSA art specialist. "He uses graphic and grotesque depictions of executions to confront the viewers with the controversial issue, forcing them to ask questions about the practice."
