UTSA appoints associate VP for financial affairs
(March 24, 2005)--The University of Texas at San Antonio announces the appointment effective April 11 of Martin Baylor as associate vice president for financial affairs in the Office of Business Affairs.
Baylor comes to UTSA from the Texas A&M University Health Science Center's Baylor College of Dentistry, Dallas, where he was director of financial services.

Previously, he was assistant director of accounting at the University of Texas at Dallas and assistant director of reporting at the UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
He received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Illinois State University and will complete in May an M.B.A. from Baylor University.
"Marty's education and experience will serve the university well," said Kerry Kennedy, UTSA vice president for business affairs. "Please join me in welcoming Marty to business affairs and to UTSA."
Baylor will be primarily responsible for the leadership, planning, implementation, management and operation of the university's financial operations.
Additionally, he will supervise UTSA accounting and financial reporting processes and procedures, and the offices handling disbursements, fiscal services, travel, inventory and surplus, cash and investment management, accounting, payroll, grants and contract administration, and business auxiliary services.
