UTSA Business Technology Center renamed 'Monterey Building'
(March 8, 2005)--UTSA announces the addition of the Monterey Building, formerly known as the Business Technology Center, to the Downtown Campus.
"We are very excited about adding the Monterey Building to the Downtown Campus," said UTSA Downtown Campus Vice Provost Jesse Zapata. "The addition will allow us to adequately support the School of Architecture as well as to provide additional services for students, faculty and staff."

RSS FeedsThe building at 301 S. Frio Street and adjacent to Monterey Street has four stories totaling 91,650 square feet. It is estimated to be worth more than $8 million.
Based at the Downtown Campus, the UTSA School of Architecture has offices and studios on the Monterey Building ground floor. The architecture school, the fastest growing architecture program in the nation, welcomes the additional space.
"This building will allow us to accommodate the school's exponential growth pattern," said Julius Gribou, School of Architecture dean. "It has the potential of elevating the school's visibility and generating a higher level of collective creative energy."Non-UTSA tenants will continue to lease offices on the third and fourth floors of the building.
