UTSA Orchestra presents concerto and aria competition winners April 7
(April 4, 2005)--The UTSA Orchestra under the direction of Eugene Dowdy, chair of the Department of Music, presents the 11th annual Concerto and Aria Competition Winners' Concert at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 7 in the UTSA Arts Building Recital Hall on the 1604 Campus.

The featured soloists, winners of the judged competition conducted in January, include: Ana Hernandez, soprano (Verdi's "Ernani! Ernani, Onvolami"); Lindsay Blackmon, soprano ("Befriet"); April Hufty, soprano ("Glitter and be Gay!"); Patrick Whitty-Johnson, bassoon; Jesus Gachupin, guitar; and Juan Mendoza, marimba.
Admission is $10; $5 for military with ID and seniors 55 and older, and free for UTSA students with UTSACard. Other students are admitted for $5 with ID.
