By Emily Schlumbrecht

(July 19, 2005)--UTSA Campus Recreation will open new Downtown Campus fitness facilities Aug. 1 in Durango Building Rooms 3.202 and 3.302 for use by UTSA community members.

The weight and cardio room is equipped with the latest fitness machines, including cardio equipment with LCD TVs connected to cable. The weight room includes the newest machine weights, a multi-lift rack with bench, three benches and a full line of dumbbells ranging in weight from 5 to 50 pounds.

Along with the weight and cardio room, Campus Recreation will offer group exercise sessions, massage therapy, a demo kitchen and Nutrition 101 classes.

Current UTSA students can use the facilities at no cost by presenting their UTSACard. Read more about memberships for UTSA faculty, staff, alumni and retirees.
