'Open Studios 2005' offers graduate student artwork, food, live music on July 23

(July 22, 2005)--The UTSA Department of Art and Art History will host its annual graduate art studios open house, "Open Studios 2005," from 4-7 p.m., Saturday, July 23 in the fourth floor studios of the Arts Building, 1604 Campus.

"Open Studios 2005" provides an opportunity for the art-going public and the UTSA community to view art produced by UTSA students in the master of fine arts degree program. The event is free and open to the public.

From 4 to 5:30 p.m., the painting, printmaking and photography studios will be open with snacks and refreshments provided to studio visitors.

From 5:30 to 7 p.m., the graduate sculpture studios will open with a barbeque and live music.

Visitors can park in lot 8 off UTSA Boulevard and follow the marked route to the fourth floor of the Arts Building.

Artists with works in the open house are Rosalinda Alejos, Stacy Berlfein, Richie Budd, Rebecca Burt, Judith Cottrell, Derrick Durham, Melody Fernandez, Laurel Gibson, Tom Hollenback, Brian Jobe, Joe Johnson, Mimi Kato, Jimmy Kuehnle, Enrique Martinez, Tom May, Robby Ramirez, Adrien Ryder, Julie Shipp, Russell Stephenson, Anabel Toribio and Keith Williams.

Co-sponsors of "Open Studios 2005" are the Graduate Art Students Association and Claudia Trevino of C-Art Gallery of San Antonio.
