By Tim Brownlee
Assistant Director of Public Affairs

(Oct. 29, 2005)--As part of UTSA Diversity Month, the UTSA Office of Learning Communities presents a talk by Sampson Davis, George Jenkins and Rameck Hunt, authors of the New York Times bestseller, "The Pact," from 3 to 4:15 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 3 at the UTSA Recreation Center, 1604 Campus. The presentation, free and open to the public, will be followed by a book signing from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

The authors will share their story of a friendship that withstood the New Jersey streets, while they kept the promise to each other to overcome all odds and become doctors. Davis, Jenkins and Hunt will discuss their journeys, answer questions and sign copies of their book.

The event is co-sponsored by the UTSA Campus Activities Board, Chaparral Village, Campus Recreation, Office of the President, Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President, Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, Orientation and Transitional Services and the University Center.
